The portable rendition of the original Sonic the Hedgehog is actually my favorite Sonic platformer for the Game Gear, even if it lacks the varied gameplay or wonderful graphics of Triple Trouble. There's no level select for it, so it might not even have the replayability of its successors, but it's still a ton of fun to go through the entire game grabbing all the emeralds and trying to get as many extra lives as you can while keeping your first shield for as long as possible. Almost as fun as killing a man. I think I can get arrested for saying that now. We'll see.
