One year had passed since the 16-bit member of Sonicmania 1993 was originally released for the Genesis. One year and we had not seen a Game Gear port of the game, as there was no need since the Gear received Sonic Chaos instead. One year later and BOOM! We thought we had evaded an 8-bit version of Sonic Spinball, but it was only waiting for us to think we were safe before striking.
