Sonic Roms Guide
Title Screen Meta Junglira Robotnik Winter Tidal Plant

Just who the devil wouldn't like Sonic Triple Trouble? It's the peak of Sonic 8-bitness...the art, music, gameplay, graphics, and design are up to the high standard the series is known for, only this time, they're, like, doing it on the Game Gear! And hey, it has Knuckles in it for no reason at all...live and die free, my brothers! Nack also makes his first appearance here, at least before someone decided his Japanese alias of "Fang" was just so much cooler.

Rom Variations

Sonic Triple Trouble (North America/Europe) (1994)
Well, isn't this just dandy. Because Sonic Chaos was renamed to "Sonic Chaos" when it came to the States, we have to get our Triple Trouble renamed to "Triple Trouble." Blasphemy! No Sonic purist should stand for this! We're going to start a revolution, fight the power!

Sonic & Tails 2 (Japan) (1994)
It's Japanese in that everything is still in English but this particular variation of the rom was only released in Japan before it went through a name change operation. Yup. Besides the different title screen (where both Sonic and Tails share the spotlight), you'll also notice an added "3D Stage" option on the menu, a feature mysteriously shown in the domestic Triple Trouble manual as if to tease us. Does not compute.
