My favorite Game Gear game ever is probably Tails' Adventure. And what's to hate? It gives Tails a chance to play main character while he takes some time off at Tails Island, and it's a unique game in its own right, with or without Tails. The items system works great, so you won't have much difficulty adjusting and hurling bombs at the Bird Army in good time. Although the Tornado doesn't make an appearance for one reason or another, the Sea Fox returns from Triple Trouble for both aquatic and aerial combat. Another great, unique game that I probably would have passed by completely if it didn't feature a Sonic character as cute and cuddly as Tails.
